Parking revenue control and valet

Full revenue control. No equipment.

OpenLot runs check-in, ticketing, retrieval, checkout, payment, and shift reporting on the phones and tablets your attendants already carry.

No gates. No pay stations. No trenching.

The OpenLot attendant app's Tickets screen: six open tickets, five checked in and one just entered, each with ticket number, plate, status, running charge, and time parked.

The problem

Equipment-based revenue control costs money before it collects any.

  1. Capital up front.

Gates, ticket dispensers, pay stations, and controllers are bought before the lot earns a dollar.

  2. Install disruption.

Trenching, conduit, and electrical work close lanes. Revenue goes elsewhere while crews work.

  3. Service that never ends.

Maintenance contracts, parts, and field visits for the life of the equipment. Then it ages out and needs replacing.

  4. Valet sits outside it.

Gates count lanes, not keys. Valet often runs on paper stubs and end-of-shift math. That is where leakage hides.

How it works

From curb to closed ticket on one phone.

  1. The OpenLot Ticket Details screen for a checked-in car: ticket number, license plate, make, color, QR code, status, entry time, expected exit, rate, and a vehicle photo.

    Check in.

Scan the plate with the phone camera or type it. The attendant confirms every plate before a ticket opens. A bad scan never blocks the line.

  2. The OpenLot attendant app's Tickets screen: seven open tickets, five checked in and two just entered, each with ticket number, plate, status, running charge, and time parked.

    Track.

Every open ticket shows plate, entry time, and running charge. Rate rules and daily caps apply on their own.

  3. The OpenLot Vehicle Retrievals screen: two retrieval requests made remotely, one waiting and one accepted, each shown against its ticket with plate, make, color, running charge, and time parked.

    Retrieve.

Retrieval requests are logged against the ticket, so every car that moves has a record.

  4. The OpenLot Checkout screen for a BMW with plate CAD5567-NC, showing a confirmation that reads "Checkout completed successfully."

    Pay and release.

The guest pays from a texted link or by scanning a QR code. No card reader. No pay station. No app for the guest. The car is released against a paid ticket, and the ticket closes with its full history.

On the roadmap. Not yet available.

Hardware

Start complete. Add automation when you want it.

Tier 0 is the whole product. Sensors and cameras are optional add-ons that bring automation and an independent audit signal. They do not unlock features.

Integrations and deployment

Works with what's already installed.

Replace your revenue control, extend it, or run beside it.

  • Standalone

OpenLot is the complete revenue control and valet system.

  • Valet add-on

Add valet to the gated system you already run. Keep your lanes, gain control of the keys.

  • Complementary

Run alongside your incumbent system. Cover valet, overflow, event, satellite, and surface lots the gates don't reach.

Built to integrate with third-party revenue control systems such as Flash, SKIDATA, Secom, and others.

The cost case

The cheapest equipment is the equipment you don't buy.

Measure total cost of ownership, not the sticker. OpenLot removes the lines that make equipment-based revenue control expensive.

FAQ

Questions operators ask.

What happens if the phone loses signal?

The attendant app stores work on the device. Check-ins, retrievals, and releases keep going and queue locally. They sync on their own when the connection returns. Payment collection needs a connection and resumes on reconnect. Garages have dead spots. OpenLot is built for them.

How do guests pay?

By a link texted to their phone, or by scanning a QR code that opens a payment form. No card reader, no pay station, no app to download. Cash handling is planned and not yet available.

What about data security and PCI scope?

Card details are entered on a payment form hosted by our payment processor. Card data does not pass through attendant devices or OpenLot servers, which keeps your PCI scope small. All traffic is encrypted in transit.

How does OpenLot catch attendant fraud?

Every ticket has a history that is appended to, never edited. A person confirms every plate at check-in and check-out. Cars are released against paid tickets. Shift reports compare what was ticketed with what was paid. Optional Tier 1 sensors can add an independent vehicle count to reconcile against attendant activity.

How do we move off our current system?

You don't have to move all at once. Start as a valet add-on or on a lot your gates don't cover. Run both side by side. Go standalone when you're ready, or don't.

Is Tier 0 a trial or a lite version?

No. Tier 0 is the complete system. Sensors and cameras add automation and a second audit signal. They are optional.

What devices do attendants need?

An iPhone or iPad on iOS 18 or later, or an Android phone or tablet on Android 14 or later, with a camera. The app installs from a link.
